With almost 2 decades of experience looking after multinational and national brands. Nkiru has diverse experience which spans across various industries including aviation, telecommunications, oil and gas sectors, and Financial Services. Some of my key career achievements include the launch of two virgin brands in Nigeria, Ghana, and Liberia. Also the rebranding and full identity change for two multinationals including ‘Zain to Airtel’ and ‘African Petroleum (AP) to Forte Oil. I did lead teams to develop various award winning marketing campaigns.  An expert Crisis Communications Manager; she is currently as Executive Head of Marketing and Communications at a Financial Services Group.

Eight years ago, I started contributing as a weekly columnist for Business Day, telling stories of her travails and triumphs in the daily challenges women face balancing work, life, family and being successful in their careers.

She founded the LightHouse Women’s Network, a female networking group where women support each other to achieve personal growth and affect the community.

She sits on the board of two commercial organisations- and have over the years received various sector related and social awards; having been recognized in 2008 and 2016 as Marketing World West Africa’s leading Women in Marketing and Communication, in 2017 as Marketing Edge’s Leading Marketing personality of the year, and as part of Nigerians in Diasporas Professional (NIPRO)’s top 40 under 40 in 2004.

She holds a Master’s degree in Strategic Marketing Management from the Kingston University Surrey, London, alongside a first degree in biological sciences, and many professional training(s). She recently became a published author- sharing lessons I have learnt as a working woman/Mother. She is married to Olumide and they are blessed with two children
