The stage is set once again to celebrate the best marketing efforts from Nigeria’s strongest brands.
The ADVAN Awards which is now in its seventh year continues to recognise high-quality standards and integrity which are vital to the success of marketing. ADVAN has chosen to reward the innovation delivered by marketers who are at the cutting-edge of their profession through these awards. The awards offer advertisers the opportunity to showcase marketing successes while providing the exciting occasion for networking and celebrating the hard work of the various marketing teams”.
The 2016 edition was undeniably the battle of the brands, as it saw Nigeria’s most celebrated brands keenly compete in the various categories of the ADVAN Awards.
After a thorough selection process, the 2016 Winners were unveiled at the Awards Gala night at the Muson Center Lagos, where Indomie bagged the Grand Title of Brand of the Year, alongside other winners.
Speaking with Brand Manager of the Year Mr Amber Yadav of Dufil Prima, -Mr Amber spoke on the immense benefits of winning the dual award of Brand of the Year and Brand Manager of the Year, He said the awards were “A stamp of approval and honour from consumers as well as the marketing community”. He also added that winning the award was an acknowledgment of Indomie as a loved brand in Nigeria.
Speaking recently at a media occasion, the Publicity Secretary of ADVAN Mr.Onome Asagbra, stated that preparation for the 2017 event was already in top gear and that they had received a total of eighty-five entries from over thirty organisations and individuals for the 2017 Awards, which was double the entries received for the 2016 edition.
He said the Judging panel comprised of the most seasoned industry professionals, which were:

- Dr. Obiaya Ikechukwu Dean, School of Media & Communication (SMC)Pan- Atlantic University

- Mr. Lanre Adisa Managing Director Noah’ Ark Communications
- Mr. Seni Ogunkola – Head of Marketing, 9Mobile Nigeria
- Mr. Kehinde Salami- Chief Executive Officer Ideas House/President EXMAN and
- Mr. Olaseni Fawehinmi- Corporates Services Manager UAC Nigeria
Mr. Asagbra also announced that the Association will be celebrating its 25th Anniversary this November and that the awards ceremony, would be an exclusive event which would flag-off the series of value-based activities the association would be organising to commemorate its Silver Anniversary.
